Situated along Ocean Drive in the center of Corpus Christi, Cole Park is one of the best family-friendly parks in Texas. This waterfront park boasts an amphitheater, a large playground, and plenty of green space ideal for fun recreational play. It also has a trail perfect for cyclists, runners, and walkers. Cole Park also includes a popular picnic park that includes on-site grills. Free parking is also available on each side of this park.
Corpus Christi Skatepark is also located in Cole Park and includes a 10,000 square-foot concrete skatepark along the beachfront. This popular attraction includes a bowl section and a street section. For those that prefer something less adventurous, there is also an amphitheater that is home to the Bay Jammin Concert & Cinema Series.

History Of The Cole Park Pier
The original Cole Park Pier was first erected in the 1930s and spanned around 1,500 feet in length. In 1945 the pier was destroyed by the Texas Hurricane and later removed in 1946. A new pier was built in 1972 and spans approximately 500 feet.

– Susie Dugan Skate Park
Susie Dugan Skate Park is situated behind the First Baptist Church. This venue charges a $3 admission fee and opens every day from Dawn to 10 pm. Pads and a helmet are required before entering this skate park along with “Skater Orientation”. The skate park is modular and features rails quarter pipes, wedge, fun box, mini half-pipe, spine, and a launch box.
– First Baptist Church
In 1878, the residents in this area organized the First Baptist Church. The services were first held in the newly renovated blacksmith shop until 1908. In 1910, a brick sanctuary was built by the congregation which served up until a new facility was occupied in 1950.
– CC Concert Ballet
CCCB (CC Concert Ballet) is one of the ballet companies that offer entertainment, and a season of contemporary and classical ballet. It also provides education to the entire Coastal Bend. Their mission involves educating the community when it comes to the performing arts and building the audiences of tomorrow.
